I drove from central Virginia and just got back from a trip I took to see my parents in upstate New York. Most of my time was on I-81 (VA,WV,MD,PA,NY) and I-88 (all NY). Not at all flat roads (Pocono mountain range).

TRIP 1: For the trip up I stuck to 5 mph over the speed limit which means I generally drove around 70 mph, ECO mode with radar adaptive cruise control on. Three major traffic delays in PA resulting in an extra hour of sitting in traffic. Completed the 476 mile journey and topped off at the gas station next to my parents house and calculated 22.9863 mpg. The truck said 23.0 so quite accurate!! To top that off, the truck indicated I still had at least 104 miles left on the tank (it was at about a 1/4 mark).

Drove around the area on that new full tank and then topped off before heading home. Overall fuel mileage dropped to 21.968 mpg.

TRIP 2: Trip home was in Normal mode with cruise control on and I averaged 10mph over the posted (~75 mph). Surprisingly no traffic on the way home (even for a holiday). Completed the trip with an overall 21.333 MPG rating (19.68 for the trip home).

My 2013 Ford f-250 (gas) could NEVER get over 13 mpg. I am very very happy with this truck's gas mileage.

CONCERNS: (1) I would never have noticed this if it wasn't for other posts here but I did feel the grumbling sensation in the seat of my pants if I step on the throttle pretty good and the truck is shifting between gears. (2). I had one instance when at a stop light on the trip home where I stepped on the throttle fairly substantially and noticed the hybrid battery indicator go all the way to max, the engine didnt start and the truck didnt move. I let off the gas and then pressed again, this time a bit slower and everything worked as advertised.

I also just did a major roadtrip from Boston to Penn State University. The trip was 500 miles and my truck bed was not empty. All highway miles except the last 50. It was very hilly, some traffic spots, and I was driving mostly 70-75’s with plenty of times over 80. Got almost 20 on the ride there and low 19’s on the way home. Surprised to see 45 miles to empty after 500 miles on the way there. I’m sure I could of easily squeezed 600 miles on one tank with the reserve. Very happy with the results. I’m doing the same trip with my wife’s Armada next week. Curious to see the results
