I need new tires and have some uneven wear on the inner side of my front tires. Should I get an alignment first before getting new tires?

Why would you do it before? The new tires will likely be a different size then the current (even if their numbers are the same, you are dealing with wear vs new), why would you not wait and have the alignment done on the actual tires you are going to be driving on?

Tires shouldn't be a variable in alignment, but why not just do it after? If you have uneven wear, why do that to a new set of tires that ruined the old set?

I have had issues locally getting a good alignment. I was thinking maybe get the alignment dialed in then replace the tires.
