Hi all, just took my truck to the local gas station (about 5 miles away), and about half way there, I noticed the temp gauge was near pegged. It normally runs near smack dab in the middle. I'm also noticing water (?) droplets on the inside of my windshield (I can't remember but I thought this indicated something I once new in my distant past but have since forgotten)? I was quite surprised at the reading since I hadn't gone that far. I'm going to start her back up in the morning (cool temps here finally, in the 40's in the morning) and see if she jumps right back up or not. Then I would imagine checking the thermostat and temp sending unit (as well as fluid level). Apologies if this has been documented before, if so, please point me to the thread and I'll just go there. Appreciate your time and help, cheers - P1.

a few other things standing in ... for now.
The last time I had that junk and mess on the inside of the windshield it was the heater core in an old square body suburban - maybe the same here?

I wouldn't it start it back up and risk it. Something clearly wrong, tow it to repair shop/dealer before more damage gets done. Probably an easy fix at this point. My 2 cents

Just my .02 but I would leave it at my house until I know exactly what is wrong. A lot of things can be done at home and no need for a mechanic
