Cool weather coming through is nice. I think I missed my chance for a "last swim" of the season. At least the hot tub works. The kids didn't seem to mind the cold water tho:notsure:

People put overlanding on a pedestal.
I call it life/camping. I love that most of my pictures on my phone are outside and enjoying nature. I’d like to realistically think I get out in the dirt or camp 8-9 months out of the year, but I can do better!

    Priorities……
Life definitely gets in the way, and I’d love to wheel with the local cats more often; and I think we all have a real grasp on that, no hard feelings, but offers are extended often. If you show up, cool, if you don’t, we might give you shit the next time; but there’s always that next time so it’s good.

In scouts, we usually had one trip panned per month, so we were always busy prepping and packing and shopping.
Now, We’re always doing something, like the zoo or the desert museum, and I’m very thankful mama bear likes to join while camping or just letting one or soon both of the boys to come along.
And my kids aren’t even in sports yet!

I'm just busting your balls because we're lucky if we get 4 months of good camping weather here. Used to do winter camping when I was in Scouts but my kids are a little young and my wife's a little soft for that.

I'm trying to convince my wife that all 3 kids of our kids - daughter and sons - should go into Scouts.

Just tell her without survival skills, they’re all gonna die, and it’ll be all her fault. She’ll come around. You’re welcome.

Earlier I ask my kid if a hand towel my wife was using to cool down her neck smelled like chloroform. He grabbed it and took a huge wife. He needs some survival skills.

Been a bit since I posted. Since we're all family in here I thought you'd like to know that everybody's favorite gymnastics mafia niece hit a milestone this week. image000000(2).jpg
Broke straight through the growth plate on the radius. So she will miss her first few competitions as she recovers. Tough lil booger. No tears beyond frustration and still going to practice 16hrs/week. She's in pretty good spirits tho.image000000(4).jpg
I dunno why we give her sugar and caffeine sometimes.
