Looking to help my Dad lift his new 08' Tundra!

He decided on 5100s all around with the front set to highest clip. The rear will be a Wheelers AAL for a 1" lift. Projected lift of 2.5" in front and 1" rear.

Is there any suggestions of parts to buy like axle shims or drop kits even tho is a mild lift? Anything at all? Looking to have do it all at once since I'll be under there anyways.

How many miles are on the front and rear springs? Replacing those might be a good idea. The front shocks are quite a bit of work, so it's good to get that right the first time with quality components.

Are bigger tires in the plan? What are you trying to achieve?

Also... When you extend the minimum shock length it's a good idea to mod your bumpstops as well... you don't want the shock itself taking all that force when it bottoms out. I got some cheap ones from Energy Suspension, that aren't listed for this application but work well. Get some 10x1.25x30mm bolts to install them.

It’s about 145k miles. The truck has 275 70 18s on right now. Mainly trying to achieve clearance from tires rubbing and leveling the truck a bit while still keeping a slight rake.

Stock rims and offset? That size tire shouldn't be rubbing at all if the rims are stock.

A lift doesn't improve clearance if your tires are 35" or less. The issues are fore and aft.

Replacing the front and rear springs would be in order I think. Use front shocks that come with springs, or get some take-offs to use with 5100s. 2" lift max, no reason to go higher.
