Added 4 inch fender flares on my 2015 LTD. Have 295 55 20s stock 20 rims. What offset rims and tires can I go to for improving stance? I was thinking 33 12.5 20s with -18 offset 20 rims. Appreciate any input. What are best tires for mud and snow? Am I thinking right with -18 offset?

-18 offset will stick out >3" vs stock. Even with 33s your fore-aft clearance will need to be improved... no mudflaps, trimming, extending the bumper... maybe even a BMC?

For offroad 33s with that offset, I'd be looking at 17" rims, not 20s.

Those look similar to my Bushwacker DRT’s. Here’s pics with +25 offset 17” Icon Vector 5 wheels with 35” Nitto Recon Graps; flares still cover tires nicely.

If you're pushing them that far out I hope you are ready to :sawzall: because you're going to rub all over the place.

Can I go to 35s with the 17” rims. I need to come out around 3-4 “from the wheel wells to accommodate Fender flares. 35 12.5 17

So thinking 17s are better? How would that be with that offset? Thanks for the comments.

Would I be ok then if I went with the 17s with that offset?

I have the TRD Pro Fox shocks with the Coachbuilder shims for a total of 3” lift in the front. For that set-up, +25 offset is considered by many to be the “sweet spot” for 35’s for minimal, if any, rubbing. I had some slight rubbing on the front liner so I used a heat gun and pushed it in some, but this is probably because I do NOT have the bumper shims. Very close to the body mount but did not require a BMC. Next tires I get will be some 35x11.5x17’s (instead of my current 12.5” wide tires) for more clearance.

I’m curious as to why you would want the tires to poke out past the flares. Just for looks? Flares are designed to protect the side of your vehicle, and other vehicles behind you, from rocks and other debris.

No, that's going in the wrong direction. 17s aren't going to help rubbing at all, they just have more meat on the tire which is good offroad and in potholes.

You should have asked before you put the fender flares on. "Filling those out" is the issue. The pivot point for turning each wheel is well inboard of where you want your wheels to be, which means the tires will sweep a big arc and hit the fore and aft parts of the wheelwell.

You could stick with +25 offset like Cthulhu and forget about filling the flares. You could run tires in the 35" diameter range then.

 Entire section of the internet full of questions and answers like these. https://www.tundras.com/forums/wheels-tires.18/

(To be read as a well intended FYI post with a light sarcastic undertone).

    Cheers.

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with offset or poke. Whether 17s or 20s, it doesn't impact offset.
