I did the same thing and had mine powder coated, but no top plates for me. I was warned that it would get damaged in shipping, etc.. But, they did a great job wrapping and packing them, and the PC seems to have been done very well

Are their top plates being shipped out welded onto the slider, or do you install the plates after mounting them up?

Pulled in to buy groceries and I parked far away and a little on one side of the line to ensure extra space next to me. I come out and this is what is taking up the last three spaces... ASSCLOWN BMW!!!
Needless to say I parked my empty cart 1/4" from its driver's door. I put a little stick under the carriage so it didn't actually hit the car. But from where you would be walking out, it totally looks like the cart smashed into the car, and you wouldn't know what happened until you got all the way up to it. I didn't want to take a self incriminating pic, or be there too long for them to come back, but I was laughing all the way home.

Swapped out my old vault case with a roam case that has a solar panel mounted on top of it. This panel takes the place of the panel that was on my bed rack but was removed. Also, in case anyone is looking at the 83L vault case, it does fit a hot water heater. You just need to line up the control knobs with the indents in the case. Tight fit CD4C57B9-1346-4E71-8699-ECF1C6779DCB.jpg C07E45E6-17B0-404A-B47B-950CACE27DD7.jpg 4E1F3D98-5774-45D6-897A-454CB6483C3E.jpg EEF42915-E8CD-4284-BC1F-23B751E62F06.jpg AC405119-CA9C-4981-A8C1-F8D49F712CCA.jpg

Wise choice. Simple green is good stuff. I too use that as well, just haven’t used the spray paint.

Son brought his 4Runner and we ran Broken Arrow, Soldiers Pass, Outlaw and Diamondback trails. Shuttled my trail running son-in-laws to a few trail heads. Bumped the steps a few times and drug the trailer hitch twice but no real damage. Had a blast.

So you just pulled all the plastic out from the fenders wells. I guess I will do the same since I cannot find anything to actually keep the crap out of the small nooks and crannies.

    Looking good my man!!

Can't you both contact ARC and see if they can help you? There are many options they offer when ordering to get you close...easy install and it's nice keeping the heart/engine clean! I'm not remotely (pun intended) close to your setups, but man do they help on both form/ function.

Well I don’t have a liners because of the fiberglass. Issue you’ll run into if you do is the intake port for the airbox is exposed and unprotected which you’ll need solution for.

I bought these and the owner was there when I was looking at them with my 3.0 coilovers, secondary shocks and remote resi's there was a lot of cutting I would have to do to make it work and most of the material would be cut away and the resi's would have to be removed. It would end up being two separate pieces.

Yep, if you remember I bought the stuff I needed but I have not quite got it installed. I will be installing when I pull the liners. I have them all cut up so it will come right out.

I wasn’t sure when I ordered them and figured they would be attached. When I unwrapped the crate I discovered they were not attached and were in perfect condition. It will be nice to be able to run these without the tops plates if desired.
RCI definitely wrapped and packed these well to protect the powder coat.

Yikes! If those brackets are for the crewmax, it’s sitting too low. The shorter brackets should allow you to mount it closer to the frame. Too much of a gap in my opinion. They must’ve sent you a bracket made for a different truck. Here is mine.

Cleaned up the engine bay...degreaser, rinse, then Son of a Gun to help keep the rubber/plastic from drying out. Not show quality, but pretty dang sparkly for close to 4 years and over 85k!PXL_20231007_181154334.jpg

Dude I like the clean engine bay.

    BUT,
    looking at the pic closer...

This looks like exposed (+) wire!!!
Please tell me it's not, and it's some kind of optical illusion!!!
Otherwise, that's a fire waiting to happen.

    Thanks for the heads up!
I don't *think* it is. That's added amp cable, a silver nylon braid over gray insulation. The braid looks to be fraying, but wire under it still insulated. Might be the black ziptie looks like end of the wrap and exposed after that? PXL_20231007_210917969.jpg Here's a close-up, let me know if I'm missing something...thanks!

You are correct @Quicksand_Tundra. Installed the correct brackets and the steps are now ‘high and tight’.

    btw- love the quicksand color.
