    Hey All,

I've got a 2005 Toyota Tundra. I am the only owner. about three years in, I decided to change to a different set of rims, 18 inch diameter. Last time I brought my truck in to get the tires balanced (I found tire weights in my driveway which is never a good thing) the shop told me they were having a hard time balancing one of my rims because it seemed to be a bit warped.

This coincides curiously enough with me considering looking for new tires. Now I'm thinking of going back to a factory rim, specifically a 2022 17 inch that comes with the Tacoma TRD.
(if the rim is warped I don't want to spend money on tires).

The question is this: do I use an acorn nut? I feel like that's what was used on the original rim. Also, I'm thinking I should change my rim nuts and I noticed there are splined nuts out there. It looks like some people have had good experiences with them but I just wanted to confirm I'm heading in the right direction.

Thanks and hope wherever you are that you are having a great end of the week heading into the weekend.
