1628029B-E4DD-44A3-BA0D-9C20869ED1FF.jpg The front is done. Take your time, make sure to have plenty of the ground covered below, take your time, put two or three coats on, and there is enough for all 4 calipers. I only could do two at a time so it cost me another kit. Will do the rear this weekend. I like it and when it dries it is going to be a good tough coating!!:)

They are Black and hard to see and that is what I wanted and that is what they are..:)

7B677626-5A4D-478E-8DBC-E9F686577F8F.jpg Purchased these off the EBAY and they come in Red not Black. Painting them flat Black. Very sturdy and on a dry fit they cover very nicely with plenty of tape on each piece!

9C90694E-0E8C-4472-9ABA-25FC64B16023.jpg I bought two sets. Glad I did because the paint started cracking when dried. Started to wet sand that set and broke out the other set and used a different primer and so far no cracking.

A53041E9-3BCB-4A9B-8F2B-A02845537312.jpg This is the primer and a lite coat of flat black.
What a PITA!!! After using bad primer, then wasting three small cans of paint. I took them into the Sun on the side of our house without wind and sprayed them yet again and they finally all dried the same time and all turned out great!! I stripped these and painted them three times doing it in the shade!! Do not do them in the shade!!!!pictures got turned around top are the finished good ones!!:)
It is very simple when done correctly!!:)

They would look great if they would stick. To much warmer, sanding, paint remover???,, and hands!. Getting more sticky tape.

Had to take the tape that came with it off and I used gorilla double sided tape to stick the strips of Flat Black covers on there. One more thing off the list!:)785DFC27-09FD-4D80-8A74-DFA24BBE9E62.jpg

on a side note the two rear doors have those two quick bends in them. What ever I tried would not hold it in place on the ends. I had ordered LLPF double sided tape but I even used gorilla tape and it did not work. I ended up using contact cement. Now they are on there for ever. The two front doors I used gorilla double sided tape and those went on without any troubles.

Above are the pieces I used, they only come in red. The rear door piece have those two sharp bends in them on the ends facing the front. I had trouble with both of them getting them to stick and I cleaned the door strips four ways to Sunday. I ended up using contact cement and on one it took on the other this morning upon inspection the end dried crooked. Luckily it popped off (the end part) I got the idea to get the wife’s hairdryer and I slipped a towel behind the end of the cover piece and barely got it hot enough to have it bend enough to get the spring action out of it. It worked good enough to use the gorilla double sided tape to hold it on there. Now everything is complete it looks nice and clean and it is done!!!!WOW!!!

Part what ever it is!! This turned out to be a PITA!! Heat, sunshine, closed truck in Texas the double sided tape did not work. Ended up taking everything off then taking all the double sided tape off and cleaning everything yet again. I then had to touch up a few places on the cover pieces and once I had that all done I used contact cement!!! Now they are stuck on there with no problems and they will not pop off in the heat (I HOPE!!!). The reason I did not paint the silver strips themselves is I could not get any kind of tape to stick on the doors to tape everything off to paint the strips!! I primed and painted the cover pieces and used contact cement to secure them in place. Done!!!!!!!

Took a trip to drop the truck off and the ole truck finally is beginning to get broken in at 6900 miles!! HA HA!!:)

This was the best number it put up but the average was about 20 to 20.1 miles per gallon! I loved it when I saw 500 miles to go on the full tank actually when I remembered to check it it showed 494 miles for the tank. It did real nice and the Seat Jackers helped a bunch, wife felt comfortable on the trip thinking about using the Jackers for the passenger side.

Do you feel like the TRD exhaust/muffler made the truck sound louder?
I used to have the TRD muffler on an old truck and thought it sounded louder. Don’t know if that’s because it had a different exhaust all together or if it was just the exhaust tip.

Have to give a THANK YOU to Oriellys here in town. They gave me full credit for a battery I bought 5 months ago. At the time I bought it I had a reason but for the life of me I do not remember why I did it. Might be going for a drive and with the stereo, heated seats with fans I wanted to go back with the 27F like it came with. Always had good luck with the Yellow top and they could get one so went with that. So,,,,, Thank You to Oriellys for giving me full credit for a battery I bought 5 months ago. IMG_5102.jpg

Went for a long drive to see the sites of Mother Nature.

Finally getting the truck broke in and I had the wife snap the photo of the mpg! I set a new record. Most of the time was 19.8 give or take.IMG_5240.jpg
