Power door locks not locking

My power door locks are not locking.
When using the key fob with doors locked, they unlock and I get the double beep but when I go to lock the doors there's no beep and they do not lock. They also do not lock when I press the interior lock button with keys outside of the truck. However, if i go through and manually lock each door, shut them, and press the lock button on my fob there's a beep.
Have checked fuses and none are blown.

Has anyone else come across this problem that could help out?

 

I have the same issue.
Both passenger sides are doing it.

my weird caveat is that it depends on the weather, when it is cold Ish, like 60 or below. They work as normal.

I have taken the doors apart and cleaned and lubed the power solenoids, seemed to work for a bit but they return to failure soon after.

just going to have to pony up for new ones one day

 

You may need to soft reset the system.... Its happen to me a couple of times... Dealer service advisor recommended years ago.. Put the key in the ignition and turn to the on position, but do not turn the truck on, Do this 3 times consecutively in less than 3 seconds, if you do it right the red light on the driver side panel will flash continuously. As if the alarm has been triggered.

To reactivate the alarm do the same thing, key in the ignition and turn it to the on position 3 times and it will reactivate the alarm system. Should resolve the issue.

Yes, I think the dealership was tired of me complaining about all kinds of stuff..... or worried about me turning into a lemon, but history would of proven otherwise and a whole can of worms so they dealt with me... I went in for this kind of service and the advisor suggested this, so I wouldn't spend 3 hours on a 15 second fix. I'm glad for the suggestion though, so I'll pay it for forward here.

is there anything else I need to do try and reset the alarm?

I got in, closed the doors and did the key turn sequence, and got the alarm/security light to begin blinking next to the clock.
Is there another step or sequence to do to initiate the reset?

I feel like I am missing something once I get the initial key sequence to start

 

thats pretty much it, its like a computer restart, just refreshes the system..

 

If the door can be opened with the key, and the door can be locked and opened in the car, it is a problem of the remote control device and the signal.

The fault is that the relay in the Central Locking Kit is burned out. Just replace the central control door lock controller. (Open the box and you can see that there are two relays. When the left one is burned out, the car cannot be locked, and if the right one is burned out. you can't open the door).

The central controller kit is not expensive, you can buy it online according to the model number.

Do not abandon the extra central controlling kit, just open it and replace the relay and keep it for stock parts.

Could be a bad actuator. I had this same problem in my FJ cruiser, and two actuators went out within a month of each other. When I would try to power lock with either the FOB or the interior button it would make a sluggish "click" but not consistently lock.

 

Anyone have luck fixing this? Just happened to me, the key 3 times trick didn’t do anything for me unfortunately.

 

just buy refurbished actuators off ebay for $60 each. easy replacement.

 

Would all 4 go out at the same time? I’m trying to track down the “central door lock controller” but not sure exactly what part that would be.

 

yea i swapped all mine out at the same time. i bought my '07 DC two years ago and all the locks were acting up. I removed one to try to clean the motor and servo and all that shit, DIY refurbish, even bought a new motor for it but ended up scrapping that one entirely and just buying refurbished OEM units off of ebay. saved myself the hassle. you'll need to pull the door panels and it takes some figuring out but it's pretty simple. after you do one the others go quickly.
