I'm a former Navy Corpsman with the Marines during Vietnam. I later got a degree in Electrical/Electronics and I helped design, maintain, and install Dynamometers used to test Tank Engines and Transmissions and other Test Equipment. I am no expert on Toyota's but if you have a question about the M-1 Tank, I'm your man. I was looking for information about my Toyota Tacoma TRD Crew Cab 4x4 to discover the best routing for installing power to my Ham Radio. After viewing several different web sites I at last landed on this forum. How excited I was to see and actual video showing me the floor and firewall access locations. I'm a member of this forum now for sure!! At first I wanted to plug my radio into the cigarette lighter plug which is fused at 15 amps. Since my radio has a maximum current draw of 8 amps, I felt safe doing so. But after looking at every available lighter plug on Amazon, and its current rating I changed my mind and decided to go directly to the battery for power. The video on this forum made my life easier. Thanks!!!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I was an M1 crew member from '86 to '92 and had some great times in the king of the mud ride!

@Quack-n-Saks may disagree but we always joked that we got 2 gallons to the mile.
