Ok, I think I figured it out looking through my last night browsing history. This thread, I was reading it and it has to do with fuel pump

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/reading-85-ethanol.59943/#post-3339769

I've read it hurts the lump if fueling while engine runs. I usually don't turn off truck when I'm filling up maybe half a tank because it goes pretty quick and restarts hurt engine bearings(they have limited starts)

Does this issue affect only flex fuel variants or also regular tundras in general? Thank you, that took some figuring out.

@EmergencyMaximum - fueling while running will not harm the engine or fuel pump; however, it does slightly increase the chances of fuel vapor contacting an electrical spark and for that reason is against the law in some states. Just like smoking while refueling - not recommended. If the Evap system goes through a test cycle while your fueling, it can think the system has a leak and trigger a CEL. Excessive topping off after the gas nozzle shuts off can cause gasoline to splash into the evap system charcoal cannister damaging it. If the cannister bag breaks down the small charcoal granules can be liberated and clog the purge solenoid.

Thank you. I guess it's better to shut her down. I don't start her often enough to warrant any worries of failed bearings. I think they are rated at 20k starts?
