Do you ever use sleep pills to get yourself back on a normal schedule? Usually works for me

I tried in the past bud I don't handle them well. I don't rest on them. I just lose time and feel like shit. Headache, cotton mouth, fatigue. I'd rather just be awake.

It took a while to find one I like, some have ingredients that are no bueno.
The one I use is from Costco, I'll try to snap a pic. I only take it the night after a night shift, to get me back on track.

Yes, please post a pic. I’ve tried melatonin and it doesn’t seem to work. I use herbal teas when I’m flying but I don’t have anything to help me when I return.

 

I've always had a somewhat odd metabolism. It took me a long time of experimenting with melatonin to get it right.
I gave up and tried several times until I found the right brand and the precise dosage AND the exact time to take it.
It ended up being 3mg and I had to take it exactly 1.5 hrs before I wanted to be asleep. If I was off by 1mg or 10 min it didn't work. Mostly if I took too much or too late, I couldn't wake up in the morning.
I lucked out and now I usually fall asleep pretty early and wake up when I need to without having to take anything. Probably just age kicking in and metabolism changing again.
Try experimenting with melatonin. Start out with a small 3-5mg and take it about an hour before you wanna be sleeping. Go from there.
Not sure if it will help much with a constantly changing work shift. That's miserable. Your body needs a steady routine to get used to.

 

Wish Costco was anywhere close. I hear good things.

Eh. It's paying for access to solid discounts. If utilized properly, it saves money.
