Would also like something that I could clean bugs from the chrome that surrounds the grille.

A spray bottle full of water and some bounce sheets works great.

I second with the dryer sheets. Use them every time I wash my truck during lovebug season or after long road trips.

diaper wipes work great too! I guess they are similar texture to dryer sheets and come pre-moistened! :)

I use a cheapo sprayer from Home Depot with ONR (use rinseless of your choice).

prespray bugs and use a bug sponge. You can also use a perforated clay towel. This is what I use

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
I fill a spray bottle with ~75% water and the rest with Turtle Wax car wash soap. Spray the buggy areas about an hour before washing then again in 30 minutes....Or when I remember. Softens them right up and doesn't seem to remove the wax. Any remnants get removed with wax.

I use P21S Total Auto Wash for bug guts, sap, and other stubborn road grime stuck to paint. Just get the vehicle wet. Spray P21S on the stubborn spot, let it sit for 30 seconds or so in the shade. Then lightly scrub the spot with a sheep skin mitt. If it doesn't come all the way off, rinse, then repeat.

This stuff also works great to clean dirty tires with a scrub brush and wheels.

No way would I use a clay bar to remove bug guts. When cleaning your paint less is more.
