I'm moving a Jayco 29' 264BHW travel trailer from my property to a location about 10 miles away. Will my 2006 Toyota Tundra 4WD crew cab be up for this task?

GVW with belongings is about 5000 pounds.

"About 5,000 lbs" seems light for a 29' travel trailer, my trailer is only 16' 6" (box, 21' overall) and it has a GVWR of 5,500 lb.

That being said, my '00 Tundra 4X4 w/4.7L V8 towed that 5,500 lbs. very well for 6 years till I got the '19.

29' is pretty long, I don't know that I'd wanna' go on long freeway trips with that combo, but a 10 mile move should be pretty easy. Just take it slow and you should be okay.

    Is your '06 a V8?

Well I'll be damned. Guess that Jayco is pretty light. IMG_2515.png
