Just wanted to say thank you @shifty` for selling me this mirror. I'm digging it.

I definitely want one in crackie now, but that's kinds a moot point with the shell, and lack of garage doors. Maybe in 10 years

So this is why I drink on my days off. I'm awake at 4:30 in the morning. No reason other than I had to get up to pee and my mind immediately starts racing. This may be a 2 nap day.

In my ‘05 I even have the harness in place, just need to connect in the kick panel and supply power.

Tundra needs the harness installed. It’s not hard really, not much time. Someday.

I got temp homelink v5’s, color matched (green for Tundra and orange for Tacoma).

Total shame on me they aren’t done yet.

You have been busy rebuilding an entire house, as well as relocating to a new state. All for someone that doesn't think you deserve a workspace or your own time. Keep stacking parts my friend, worse case scenario you make a trip to Texas and we throw you a wrenching party.

Not a fan of my auto dark mirror. Works about as good as everyone elses auto dim headlights. Which aint for shit.

Someone from the forums (I think @shifty` maybe) sent me an auto dimming compass mirror a long time ago and I have a wiring harness I bought online. I just haven't bothered to wire it. I installed the mirror itself, after a wheeling trip where @Mr.bee wasn't ready for a big bump that sent him crashing into my stock mirror. But I currently have no dimming haha. I need to get it done maybe this week when I upgrade to my Morimoto HIDs. I gotta fix the headlight that's out, so I can pass inspection, so I can get my registration, so I can drive out the the hill country for the eclipse coming up and go offroading. Need an oil change too.

Have you seen the new and improved 5vz TVS1320 superchargers Magnuson started producing? They've pretty much phased out the M60. They make like 5 less torque, but 30 more HP and are more efficient.

Just when I thought I had finally moved on from my teenage dreams of owning a supercharged 5vz, Magnison came out with the TVS1320 and reignited the fire in my heart for the 5vz! Not to mention all of the truck porn @empty_lord has been posting with his SC and headers

Say... your Tundra could use one too!.
I bet you could install the headers with ease since you have room for activities under the hood too.

I second this. I have lived in Texas my entire life, but this summer was a beating. I have been looking at land in some other states just like sir bee. This climate change stuff is killing me. So pissed off at the volcanos, they should be outlawed! And don't even get me started on the dinosaurs, still waiting on my reparations.

Well hell... I was all ready to do my Morimoto HIDs when I realized I misplaced the adapters. FML. Why didn't I put them in the box with the rest of the kit?!?!?!
At least this time I had the incite to check everything before I started tearing the truck apart. Last time I had everything apart and realized the kit wasn't compatible out of the box with my @Southpaw1184 built projector headlights. So I ordered the adapters and put everything back together. That was 2 years ago... I originally ordered the kit 3.5 years ago. I can't believe these cheap scamazon HIDs held up for about 4 years before the driver side went out.
Looks like I better order another set of adapters.

    https://www.rallysportdirect.com/pr...X4PmvuoRa6-hhQhfPJaY88-6UFiVEgVxoCvHQQAvD_BwE

And apparently I never hit POST!

So I'll just tag onto this post that I actually just found em in the garage. My father asked me to grab some gloves and help him in the yard. When I found my gloves, I saw a box with some random parts in it and dug through and found the adapters! :yay:

    You're totally welcome lil bro.

This is me, like, at least once a week. Drives me nuts. And it's always some time between 3:30am-5am. And I can either spend an hour trying to go to sleep, which is 50/50 success, or just stay up for an hour dicking around on the phone, then go to sleep again more quickly, if I bother at all. I miss sleeping thru the night.

That's a really awesome truck. I think it looks great with the same OEM steps I've got on my truck. I wish I'd seen the one you pictured previously, I was really sweating whether the truck would look good with my OEM steps after lifting. I prefer the steps I've got over the OEM nerf bars (for the kids' sake). I don't ever plan on crawling, so ...

All BS aside, my parents are about as straight-laced as it gets. When I was younger, we lived in a house on Pebbelbrook St. in Arlington TX. I wanna say the house number was 301, but there are two houses on that side of the street that look the same and it was almost 40 years ago now. Anyway, we left after 1yr because mom saw ghost of a little girl floating around the house multiple times. When we moved in, dad found a quiver of 100s of years old arrows and a leather bag chock full of British coins from the 1700s (we still have). I remember numerous times when my older bro an I were hanging out alone at the house, and weird things would happen. Like, you know those old school radios with the big, heavy FM tuning knob on the front you can spin to move the dial? Several times we left it on while going out to play, and the minute we walked thru the front door to get a drink or take a video game break, the dial would spin down into the deep left of the dial, the upper 80MHz range, usually to gospel or chamber music. We left not long after, moved more out into the burbs, Avanti Drive, a little more south into Arlington.

I never knew what to make of it, and I firmly believe 99% of the 'ghost shows' that pop up are complete and utter bullshit. But there was absolutely ZERO explanation for anything we saw while living there.

Almost positive that's it. Things have changed quite a bit in 40-45 years. It was on that street, mid-block, on that side of the road, and I recall it had that same triangular support at the corner of the porch (but so does 209). The house directly across the street burned down while we were there. This all was in the mid-80s.

Nothing too strange happened in the south end of Arlington. But that house on Pebblebrook, there were also some kids who were supposedly LARP/roleplaying D&D at Johnson Creek right at the end of that road, and killed some homeless dude as part of their campaign. I'm sure they were probably all on hallucinogens when they did it, but ... dunno. Sucked for us, bro and I used to take chicken fat and string down there and catch mudbugs out of that creek. Parents wouldn't let us after that BS happened.

So watching david frieburger and his engine guy on hotrod tv or engine masters or whatever and they were discussing plenum volume and runner volume. On the aluminum intakes wouldnt it help (dragging peak torque to a lower rpm, and the temp difference of insulating the top/bottom halves to have like a 1" spacer 3d printed?

i might eventually try carving one out of wood, but a 3d printer would be so much easier.
