Anyone else have an issue when stopped at a red light, when taking off, the brake engaged itself?
It's like the parking brake is engaging itself.
I have to put it in neutral and then drive. This has happened several times.

It’s an electronic parking brake. May have “hill assist” or “hill braking” type option engaged. Keeps you from rolling backwards when taking off. Can likely be disabled.

Hi lilfoot! It also may have a hold feature that holds the vehicle still at the red light and once you apply the gas it automatically lets it roll. Once you get use to it and remember it is on it is actually pretty good and on the display it will show hold has been turned on and when you stop you can push the brake in at stop or wait for the lag time and the hold will show up on gauge cluster that it is active. Hope that helps. Happy cruising!smileytn1

If you don't mash brake pedal too hard, it doesnt engage. My venza shpenza has it. Like the gang said, the feature helps from rolling back if stopped on a hill.

Just easy with the "lilfoot" and you'll never trigger the brake-hold.

Does it flash "BRAKE" on the screens and then slam the breaks on just after you start moving? That's happened to me and you have to turn down the sensitivity on the collision avoidance system.

That kind of pissed me off when it happened because there was no one in front of me for at least 15 yards and I was barely moving but the BMW behind me damn near ass packed me and he was pissed too.

In general I hate technology that thinks it knows how to drive better than me.

Thanks, I use the hold button regularly when I'm in town, it's a good feature.

Hey thanks, this is exactly what it's doing.
I'll break out the owners manual and figure out out to tweak it.

Go to the settings screen and hold the OK button down on the PCS option and then change it to the low sensitivity.
