New to me 2018 Tundra Platinum. Only 60k miles. My first PU truck and I'm loving it. Unfortunately my "Google Shui" sucks. This beast that boast vented seats, wireless charge in center console, & nav but doesn't have remote start? How low does the tank get before the light comes on? Does the cruise control radar need to activated every time I start the car?

Is there a good feature/intro video, I seem only to find used cars salesarses.

To tonneau or not tonneau? Hard or Soft?

What topics are taboo? EG on the motorcycle forum ask about tyres and/or oyl (won't even mention them) and you can crash a small server.

Hoping to be lurking on this forum for a long time,
    Ed

    Welcome aboard Ed.
No, your vehicle likely did not come with factory remote start.
You have a 38 gallon tank, so the light comes on with about 8 or so gallons left.
Cruise control needs to be “turned on” every time you drive the truck. If you wish to deactivate the radar cruise and use traditional cruise, hold the button down when turning it on.
We love “what oil brand” or “what viscosity” or “how often” new oil threads. So much hasn’t been said yet that we need to get out there, keep asking!! Also love “how big a tire without a lift” threads. Internet gold.

Welcome from So Cal, and congrats on the Tundra. It will serve you well for a long time. Post a picture... we like pitchers.

So I've almost always run camper shells on my trucks. (I take multiple boards when I go surfing and need to be able to lock stuff up)

When I recently upgraded from my '00 Tundra to a CPO '19 I fully intended to put a topper on it, but changed my mind. At 61, it's getting harder on my old knees and back to crawl around in a cab high shell.

This is the first time I've run a tonneau and I'm REALLY liking it a lot.

I went with a hard tri-fold (BakFlip MX4) since I have the CM & short bed, I didn't want to lose the bed space to the canister of a retractable, though a retractable would have given me more choices for my racks.

I then added (and highly recommend) a Bedrug. My truck came with a drop-in plastic bedliner. I despise these... they cause rust, they hurt my knees, and you so much as look at your brake pedal and everything in the bed is up against the cab.
Bedrug is nice and cushy, dries quickly (tonneaus will let in a tiny bit of water in the rain or car wash) and stuff stays where I put it, unless I want it to move. I keep a stick with a hook on the end in the bed, and it's super easy to hook and slide things to me or push them forward.
They make a mat version that is considerably cheaper if you don't want the full bedrug.

Enjoy your truck. Post up some pictures so we know how else to help you spend your money. :bananadance:
