    Howdy,

Just took proud ownership of my 2020 Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax. Previously drove a 2013 4Runner SR5 for the last several years, but it was time to either invest heavily to make it drive another 100k or make the move to a Tundra, which I've considered of for sometime. Found this lovely lady with 17,000 miles - couldn't pass on the low mileage.

I'm glad to be joining this community. Even only sifting through the website the last few days, it has been a tremendous aid in learning my new truck.

My wife and I are big outdoor enthusiasts and plan to overland the truck as we take it out and learn what works for us/how we want our system to fit our needs.

Strategically planning our build… likely starting with tires, bed rack, and RTT. Keeping the TRD Pro suspension for now - want to move to Icons eventually to increase load capacity for more down the road.

However, these Michelin's won't do for me. I'm not typically an "for the looks" guy, but I'm not fond of them nor do I think they'll be reliable in the Wichita Mtns or Ozarks the next few months as we start taking her out. I'd love to hear other's opinions of what tires to move to without cutting/rubbing. (I've read through some forums, but it seems there's often conflicting/vague takes for TRD suspension.)

    Toyota fan for life.

Nice find... and congrats on the new rig!!!!

Most will tell you 295/70s will work if you just remove the little front mud flap, but just know each of our Tundras are slightly different; some folks have some minimal rub (sway bar or skid plate) in reverse at full turn of the steering wheel, and others have no issues.

The brand seems to matter also, as some 295s are bigger than others. Mickey Thompsons for example are a bit larger than Wildpeaks, etc.. They (Mickeys) are known to be more true to size when dealing w/their 35s, 37s, etc... I'd imagine a 295 Mickey w/decent sidewall lugs might even rub the UCA, but not sure.

285/70s or 275/70s will definitely work also w/o issue.

285/75s would probably very brand dependent.

Take a look at the following thread for examples, but note that it's kinda all over the place w/non-pros, spacers, and even some w/minor lifts...

Let’s see pics stock height Pro with 295/70r18

Should at least get you started. Good luck!!!

YW! Enjoy your travels and camping! FWIW, you can't really increase the payload capacity rating with suspension upgrades, but you can keep the headlights in focus. Check out Roadmaster Active Suspension HD kit to minimize any sagging with the RTT and gear.

Enjoy that Pro! Good looking truck. Falken Wild Peak A/T3Ws in 295 are what you want. Lose the front mud flap and you should be G2G. You'll look at other Tundras and try to understand how anyone can run anything smaller than 295s after awhile. The truck just looks right.

No issues at all for me! CBI's 2019 Tundra build has this bumper with Baja Designs LP6's between bumper and bull bar and they claim no reliability issues, but the decreased range for adaptive cruise control.
