    Hi, everyone.
I’m currently considering buying a 2015 Limited Tundra. I have a few questions about the stereo though.

Any Limited Trim Tundra I had seen when on google had a JBL logo above the screen as well as on the speakers. The one I’m looking at doesn’t have the JBL logo above the screen, and I neglected to look if it had the logo on the speakers. I had assumed that all limited trim came equipped with JBL but perhaps this was still an optional extra in 2015?
I know that Tundras aren’t known for having great stereos. My 2010 SR5 one was absolute trash, I replaced it almost immediately. Would this limited have JBL even though there isn’t a logo above the screen? Also, what sounds better, the JBL stereo or the DPS option that some tundras have?

And finally, if I chose to replace this stereo, what are some good options to upgrade the sound but keep the stock look? Thanks in advance.

Upgraded JBL was optional on the limited. If it doesn’t say it on the radio. It ain’t it.

After reading some other forums, I’m realizing that it’s also important to mention that I live in Canada and that the DPS option I speak of is the Bongiovi acoustics digital power system that apparently only appears as an option on Canadian models.

The DPS was a Canadian add on from what I understand, not part of the radio. So you either get the regular, or the upgraded JBL head unit. My guess based on “reviews” is that the DPS was good. I can speak from experience that the JBL is not. Low volume it’s ok. Turn it up and it gets terrible.

All I need to say is check out Crutchfield.com they have everything you could ever think of in terms of audio for any vehicle. Just put in your make model and year and it'll ask you a couple questions about your specific car/truck and will show everything that will fit. Ask anyone on here, crutchfield is awesome.
