USB Dashcam Connector - 5-pin harness in dome light / roof cavity

    Up for sale, USB Power Adapter for the Tundra, using the optional dash cam 5-pin harness in dome light / roof cavity. Last FS Post is here. Price increase since last sales as material prices went up a bit & to cover PayPal fees.

    These are the following meaning for wiring colors:
    Black Wire = ground
    Red Wire = 12v hot
    Blue Wire = 12v switched

    As shown, the one wired in the first picture is: "switched" which means basically on when the truck is turned on (black & blue wiring).

    You can have 2 different configuration:
    • Switched (only powered when truck is turned on - black & blue wiring)
    • Always-on* (always powered on, regardless of if truck is turned on or not - black & red wiring).
    * I do not recommend this option as it could/can drain your battery, please buy/use at your own risks.

    If anyone is interested in kits, I've got approx 10 "switched" kits available and another 2 "always-on" kits available. I do have more material to make once I have sold all my current kits, they will be made to order. I also have these posted in the Canadian Facebook Tundra Page.

    I want one with a toggle switch so I can decide (based on where I’m parking) if I want the camera on while the Tundra is off. Will this also work on other Toyotas, like a 2023 Venza?

    Unfortunately, dont think so, unless you can figure out if Toyota made an OEM dashcam for 2021? Or if you look and there's an OEM plug, perhaps it could work if it's the same plug.
