Considering a tonneau for the 07 SR5. Your thoughts/links appreciated. First timer... should be easy on/off, low maintenance, under a grand. Need rear floor space for the choc lab when my sweet bride and I travel. Thanks in advance. Tired of toppers, caps.

Mine has a Truxedo Truxport, it's nothing fancy, several bracing bars to give it some stability, pretty tough, mine got a daily beating in FL and ended up getting holed but it was cheap to replace just the cover, even with that beating it still lasted about 7 years (assuming it was fitted when new).

Easy to roll up and straps down at front of bed. Mine leaked when I got it at the front corners, not sure if installer error or duff sealing strips, was easy enough to put right. I did some minor tweaking to mine and fitted a rack, which it isn't designed for but again was an easy fix.

I's not as nice as some of the fold over panel types but it's cheap and cheerful and stashes out of the way which suits me or it would have been dumped by now.

Edit: when rolled up it is easy to remove the cover, the rails remain in place but are fairly inobtrusive

Got the Tyger soft tri-fold tonneau installed. Tools required: pocket knife, Phillips screwdriver. Took about an hour...had to reposition both front & rear clamps/locks.

Looks good. The last folder on this just stays flat, right? Seems like my buddy had a folding top, maybe it was a 4 section, that would tilt up against his back window.

Yeah, it folds back from the tailgate but last fold/panel stays flat to the bed rails unless you undo the front clamp and lift it off completely. Came with a nice cloth storage case/sack for when it's off. Easy lift when you lift it off...has stretched out taut closed from sitting in the sun.
