    Hi, new here.
I love my 19 tundra other than it seams occasionally ( usually when my AC is running)that its rpm runs too fast and causes it to want to shift like the rpms are staying to high while trying to slow down it will act like it's slow to down shift...
They sent me a message from Toyota saying there was a recall on something that may cause this symptom( they scanned a bar code on suspicious part on engine thought to cause high idle speed and told me it wasn't part of recall to replace it)
My question is will a tuner stop this idling/ weird slow shifting symptoms or what else can be done?
    Thanks

No takers on what can cause this?( It seams to be on a cycle- it will act up for a day or 2 then no issues for a month or more...)

Have you replaced or unhooked the battery recently?

Sounds like you are having a different issue or several issues. I had a weird surging idle issue over a year ago that had no identifiable codes thrown. My issue started after I swapped batteries.

There is a throttle body calibration procedure that seem helped me. Video says Tacoma but it is for a Tundra (I don't think it matters):

    Steps:
    • Clean TB (I didn't have to do this).
    • Warm up the truck. Shut it down and wait 5 to 15 minutes for the truck to fully shut down (I think you only need 5).
    • Turn the truck on to where the power is applied but it doesn't turn over the engine (engine off).
    • Slowly press the gas pedal down from top to bottom out three times. It should take 3 seconds to bottom out each time.
    • Start the engine. I chocked my truck with the emergency brake on and put it drive to let it idle with all accessories off. ECU is relearning and the idle will improve over short time.
