Fun Fact on the Trucks status on the App

On my 22 1794, when I back in the garage I fold the tow mirrors inward just due to the size of them poking out.

If I go on the App and look it will say " Vehicle Status Closed and Locked " ......when in reality it is totally unlocked with the windows down.

For what ever reason when the mirrors are folded in the truck thinks its all buttoned up, tire pressure good, windows closed, doors locked. At least in my case .

Maybe test your own trucks so you dont think your truck is locked and sealed when in reality the rain is pouring in the window, or some crack hoe has set up a camp

 

I don’t rely on the app to be anything but inaccurate. On top of it taking forever to load just about anything, it currently says my truck is locked (it’s not) and tire pressure are good (they’re not….my new TPMS aren’t even set for the truck yet)

 

This is really important information. Thanks @Hella Krusty going to check if my truck does the same. If this is a bug across all our trucks Toyota app devs had better get their %%#% together!

 

Makes me really want to pay a monthly fee for it once the free year runs out…

Only one year free for US customers…
And definitely not worth $8 a month.
Never mind if you want to keep remote start from the app for $16 a month.
Neither is worth it in my opinion.
Especially if it isn’t working correctly as your first post suggests.

 

Mine works. I fold mirrors before entering the garage and lock truck when exited. On several occasions forgot to lock it and the app reminded me it was unlocked. Left driver side rear window down once and got a ding on the app over that as well.

will pay for the subscription when my year is up as well.

 

Does the app show the incorrect status immediately after you fold them in? I have to do the same thing when I back into my garage, but never looked at the app.

 

not sure. I was at the golf course and wondered if I locked so looked at the app. It said locked. when the round ended it was totally open. So then I started looking into it

 

I tested this today with NON-TOW Mirrors and could not duplicate this issue. When I folded the mirrors in the app still showed UNLOCKED.

 

I cant figure it out
- This morning I walk out, app says locked, trucks in my garage with windows down and totally unlocked
- Five minutes ago it says unlocked.

I aint trusting this thing LOL
