Mirror tap

For what it's worth, I had my Uniden R3 (and Escort X50) mounted on similar unit, with VHB tape, on my previous Tundra from 2017 till 2022, without a single "fall accident."

No idea if the 24/7 100+ "hot as the sun itself" average FL temp will defeat the VHB tape however; worse that happens you find your detector hanging one day, and you reevaluate your mounting choices then.

It's pretty solid. The magnets on the Ram plate are strong as hell.

 

Great installs! But, WHAT are the connections on the mirror? I have a 2017 TRD SR5. I see the pics, but WHERE does it connect to the mirror?

This coming from someone who, when asked, does not the freq their gun shoots. There is so much more then stick a bubble wrap detector in the windshield.

I can safely say you'd never catch me or other members in this group who know how to properly utilize the RDD.
