Does anyone know how to remove the plastic treads on the running boards for a 2016 Tundra TSS (without busting them)? They are rusting under the plastic and Id like to treat it before it gets out of hand.

Also, does anyone know if they’re OEM? My dealer claims they aren’t but I think they are.

I had different style but still was plastic step on a metal tube. I just pulled up on the plastic basically. Pulling up on an end by hand i could see it flexing/denting in where pins were holding it down so i slid long flat screwdriver under to the pin and twisted it to help pull up the pins out. Couple pins broke but construction adhesive seems to be holding.
