Honestly, as soon as we can. We have them made. We just need to spray certain ones (obviously). We won't ship until I have the install vid edited, which I should be editing next week. Today I have to finish up backend work for a different, non-Toyota product.

 

Installed my MBM BumperShellz this weekend! They look great! I do see a little chrome at the top of the top grille surround (probably my fault), but I have some extra blackout tape so I may try to use that at some point.


EDIT: Here’s a good before and after. Huge difference!

 

I hate to say it, but that looks so good even without the fog lamp bezel overlay we just released!

As to your list area of chrome on the top... it could very well be user error, like you said. but each truck is built a little differently (which is why we included the blackout tape in the first place), so it might also just be how your grille sits. I'll ask my boss, Grant, but I'm fairly certain you already figured out the solution he'll provide me.

 

Thanks!! I'm lucky with the gloss black fog lamp bezel on the black truck, no need to cover that up. I think the BumperShellz look great and make the "dark chrome" grille a lot more tolerable. I'm normally 100% anti-chrome, but I think I'll keep this as is... for now. At least all of the "bright chrome" is gone.

I'm sure it was my fault, I installed it solo (against the recommendation in the video), so it probably wasn't perfectly in place when I started adding pressure. I think the black out tape will work if I can slide it under the shell.

We're still working on the rears. Our automation automatically spits out 2 weeks as the due date. We aren't quite there yet. I'll get with my boss and see where we are at. The owner is on vacation until Wednesday, so work probably won't continue until then. I'll get you an update, though.
