1 year and 13,500 miles later.....I like my Tundra more and more each day! Build date was July of 2022 and I've had zero issues with this truck. I have an SR5 crew max....but it's loaded with pretty much every available option package that the SR5 could have!! It's a sunroof and air conditioned seats short of a limited. I'm averaging 23 mpg (almost all highway) on my commute to work and back. One thing I did notice......it's runs MUCH better on premium fuel. I know premium fuel is not required, but I've run a few tanks of 87, then a few tanks of 89 ethanol free, and lastly a few tanks of premium 93. The ethanol free gas ran very well but I read that ethanol burns cooler and is better for the turbos. Not sure how much truth there is to all of that. Most trucks like pure gas as opposed to ethanol blended gas. However, with the ethanol fuel, 93 octane seems to simply run smoother than lower octane fuels. What are your thoughts?

Same here with gas. When I’m near a Racetrack gas station I get the ethanol free 92 octane.

For grins I just ran a current tank of premium ethanol free since they have it on the pump up here in MN

I’ve never heard anything about ethanol being good for turbos , that’s a new one on me

every motor large or small I’ve ever ran ethanol free premium in runs better

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll love your truck for years to come.

Mostly because you got the best color, but there are likely other less significant reasons.

    What’s wrong with stock?
My truck turned one today. 6,500 miles. I bought her a console safe and a beat-sonic amp for her birthday. Installed both today before the rain. My 2001 4Runner keeps a watchful eye on her.

I run 91 and it does run better. In the Rockies, so that is the highest usually available unless you go get race gas.

I have run Premium since the day I drove it off the lot, but then again I run premium in everything I own. Why run a lower octane , just makes your motors run crappy

Wish ethanol free was more easily found. Only one station near me has it and it's prepay only. No pay at pump. It's like going back in time to have to go into the store to pay for gas
