I have a 2020 Tundra SR5 crew cab with tow package 4x4 etc. What are your thoughts about towing a 31' 6,000 lb trailer.

You're good. Just know that 2019-2021 tow package Tundras do not have the external thermostatically controlled transmission cooler behind the grill like 2007-2018 Tundras have. I installed one in my '21. $750 plus a couple hours of my time.

Your transmission literally has a thermostat-shaped plate in place of the thermostat that came on previous years. Toyota deleted the whole system–thermostat, cooling lines, radiator–and said it wasn't needed. "After all those years and the original design we poured millions into researching, turns out we were wrong." o_O That's how I hear it. Lol.

There have been a couple failures mentioned by users on the forum. I don't think it has been long enough to see real problems pop up with any regularity. Hardly anyone with a 2019-2021 Tundra is out of warranty yet, and Toyota isn't going to delete something that is essential for getting through that period. Hardly anyone uses their truck for real work, either.

If you're going to tow 6k lbs and plan to keep your truck for the long term, it's cheap insurance.

Welcome! What are your towing concerns? The truck is rated over 6,000lbs. I’m sure there are some people on here that can help.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and comments on the towing capacity of my Tundra. I love the truck but gas milage...not so much.

The extra gas you buy due to the lower MPG's still costs less than all the repairs the other brands require over time.
