Why does my 2001 tundra feel like I have been rear-ended about 4 seconds after I have stopped

That depends. Do you want to give us any important details about your Tundra? Like....

What engine it has, V6 or V8?
Is it an automatic or manual?
    Is it 2WD or 4WD?
Is it regular cab, or access cab?
How many miles are on the clock?
How long has the problem been happening, and was there any maintenance done around the time it started?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I was informed when I first got my truck, this is a thing with the Gen 1 models, which also happens on my 2008 Gen 2 which is a 4.7L. Something to do with the timing.

Yep x2, OP, if it feels like you’ve been love tapped from behind, greasing the shaft will get rid of it.
