Installing after market tow mirrors on my 2011. The puddle light on each has 2 long dangling wires - grey and white. So I just find a good ground screw in the door for the gray? — I have the left one installed and the door panel on after pulling both wires through to tap into the courtesy light above the emergency brake. (Am a retired finance guy who does a lot of home remodeling, wiring, etc. just don’t know a lot about car stuff.)
    Thanks for your help!

For that courtesy light, you’ll want to tap both wires. Not just the positive and ground it to the truck.
