I searched, but wasn't sure how to phrase this to find what I am looking for, so I am going to ask here in a new thread.

My window buttons (and door unlock and window lockout buttons) came unfastened from the driver's side door and push down too far, preventing me from pushing them down easily. I'm sure they just came unfastened.

Has someone encountered this before and fixed it? Does it require a new switch plate part or can this be fixed without new parts? I am going to dive into it this weekend, but want to get the details before I start working.

    Thanks!

There was a recall/safety bulletin for the driver door switch needing more dielectric grease. Depending on the dealer, you might be able to get them to put it back together correctly if it hasn't been done on your truck. Sounds like a screw came loose, or it possibly broke the bracket. They did the TSB for my truck when I took it in for it's frame check a few months ago. Originally it was 2009-2011, but they extended it out to 2007 too.

I have noticed a couple of the trucks for sale online have this issue so it might be a bigger problem.

Thanks for your response. That's good information. I took the truck in when I bought it in January, and they said there were no TSBs outstanding, but I will give the local dealer a call here to ask anyway.

Either way, I'll try playing around with it this week or this weekend and possibly post a how-to on how to get this fixed.

I have the same problem, the controls are sagging into the door. I have not opened the panel to see what has happened. Can you share your findings and experience doing this for your door controls? Thanks!
