Hello all - long time reader first time poster.

    I have a 2007 Tundra 5.7 SR5 that is having some 4WD issues.

    Here is what’s going on:

    1. Turn knob into 4Hi mode and 4WD engages. VSC light comes on and 4Hi is lit as green. All works well.

    2. Disengage 4WD Hi by turning the knob to 2WD and 4WD disengages. VSC light turns off and I am in 2WD mode. However, the 4Hi light keeps blinking. Neutral, reverse, continuing to drive, this blinking 4Hi light remains.

    3. When I try to go back into 4WD I can’t, likely because the 4Hi light is blinking.

    4. If I turn the car off and then back on (with the knob in 2WD) no lights are on and I can go into 4WD (see step 1).

any ideas what the problem is? The vehicle is in St John and is an island beater so only want to address this if it’s an easy fix. Turning the car off then back on to engage 4WD isn’t a big deal.

    thanks for the help!
