Looking for a bit of guidance here....

I'm in the middle of swapping the trans on my 07 Tundra 5.7l 4x4.

Can anyone that's done this before let me know if removal of the exhaust manifold is necessary? Seems I can get the starter out without manifold removal - not sure if I'll have room to get the TC bolts out if I leave the manifold on though.

Exhaust manifold hardware is pretty rusty and I'd rather not touch it if possible..

Not much help since I have no experience with the 4x4, but I have faith that you'd be able to get it done without touching exhaust manifold hopefully. I did a 2WD/ RWD transmission removal before & instructions called for manifold removal for starter too. TOTALLY disregarded manifold removal instructions. Slightly odd angles getting starter & heat shield out, but I was able to get transmission out without touching manifold. :yes:Thank goodness for extensions & swivels.
