Folks, to change the transfer case oil, do I need to drive the truck in 4 wheel drive for a while? I believe that is unnecessary because I believe the transfer case is always working, thus just driving it in 2 wheel drive should get the transfer case oil warm and ready for a drain and fill. Is that right?

I think it is only the front diff that requires you to drive in 4 wheel drive for a while before changing the oil on that.
