Need your advice: 2010 SR5 with cheap HU sounds better than 2021 TRD Pro :-(

Well... let's beat the dead horse.

Backstory: I am an owner of a 2010 SR5 and a 2021 TRD Pro. I replaced the HU in my 2010 with a Pioneer DMH-2660 NEX. Result: the cheap sound system with 13 year old speakers sounds better then the "premium" JBL system in the 2 year old TRD Pro.

I've been going back and forth on how I want to approach the TRD Pro:

1. Keep everything stock, and add JL Stealthbox.

2. Replace the HU with a Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX, so I can retain the 8" screen size, ...until I realized an installation kit for it does not exist, like for Tundra MY13 and down.

3. Replace the HU with a Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX or DMH-W2770NEX and retain the rest of the OEM JBL system.

4. Replace the HU with a Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX or DMH-W2770NEX, disconnect all OEM speakers and the OEM amp, run RCAs to a new amp, all new speaker cables to four component speakers, and call it a day. No sub, or maybe just a little sub.

Any thoughts on the four, but really the three options above?

...and before anyone mentions different HUs... I will not install a "tablet" HU in my car.

EDIT: I'm also thinking about Alpine iLX-507, but I wonder if Alpine "still got it" like back in the day?
