Any other surfers here?

I'm 48 years in, just about every chance I get.

I try for about 100 days a year but that's hard with flat spells, a wife, other hobbies, and a full time job.

It's my happy place... some days I'm an old Barney, but some days everything flows pretty well for being 61.

Nice. I used to live in SoCal. Miss the beach and ocean.

 

I live in SoCal, but I haven't surfed since the 90s. I moved inland 25 years ago and found a new hobby (mountain biking).

But my son got into surfing recently. I've been considering taking it up again and go with him.

 

Few things cooler than a father and son trading waves, go for it! The water's warm, now's the time!

 

I’ve surfed a handful of times in Hawaii and the Oregon coast when I lived there. I’m not much good but I absolutely love it. There’s something special about it, you are living right if you get 100 days a year in on the water. Sweet photos
