I have a still new 2007 monster Tundra big motor, 4door crew cab. The radio OEM factory
    638-50647-NOA typical with CD.
The issue: I can't turn the volume down at all. It is at full tilt for deaf folks. Turn on the radio and a blast of sound waves blows my hair back of what I have left.
Tried most all common sense trying to adjust including stroking then pounding the dashboard
Basically, no volume control. So can you assist me with this problem, I need every hair I have.

Try popping the knob off and rotating the piece underneath it.

I would just replace the radio. The standard radio can be had used for about $100 and there are videos on YouTube that give sufficient details on how to pull the old one out. This is a job that requires a few screw drivers, a 10mm socket, and some plastic pry tools. I think you could do it in under an hour, even if it's your first time.

The rotary encoder in your current head unit has probably failed, and it's just not worth the hassle to deal with replacing that single part.

Thanks, makes common sense to me. I thought it was a figermajiggy that needed direction or a hammer. Hammer wins.

Great video, give me great inspiration to join Colledge of Bubs Incorporated, I wish it was in another Estonian dialect.

I would offer $50 on the first one. You'd be patched up for ~$75, not too bad. Don't forget to oil your bar.

Take the radio fuse out put it back in.
I’ve had it happen 5 or 6 times with my 07 tundra. Fuse OUT / IN fixed it every time.
