Is it normal to hear ticking noise when putting the truck in gear? I can only hear it when the window is down or if I’m standing outside of truck when someone is moving it at low speeds. Otherwise I don’t hear nothing other than the normal valve train noise during initial start up.

Sometimes I let my wife drive my truck. I happened to notice a little tick noise as she was backing it up (in reverse and also appears to do this in drive) but is not present at idle (only the typical tundra noise)

It’s not loud at all but quite noticeable. No CEL and no drivability issues.
