I posted here a year or so ago about my fog lights being shaky but now I need to actually fix it. I have a 2021 TRD Pro which comes with the rigid industry fogs from the factory.

I hit a deer that did some significant damage to my front bumper and grill. The fog light was also a casualty. Originally the body shop and insurance messed up and didn’t replace the fog light, just kinda got it to look like it was fitted right and called it a day. I ended up taking it back and they ordered the new fog and got it installed.

it seemed fine for awhile but now it shakes so much and the light goes off entirely on bumpy roads.

it’s not just the light that is shaking, it’s the entire bezel. There is some paint chipped off the bumper around where the bezel meets the outside of the bumper.

I noticed mine today is loose. I have never been in a crash so it’s the original factory install. The bezel is loose and it’s rubbed paint off on the bumper in the bottom portion where the bezel meets the bumper. I wonder if this is a warranty fix. Can’t believe how loose fitting this is. What the heck Toyota?!

I just dig into mine to upgrade the fogs.

It’s a poor design from the word go. You can gain access from the interior of the bumper, right in front of the tire. Few screws, bolts and 2 plastic clips that can break will have that cover off. From there you can see what you’re looking at better.

With a 2021 you’ll probably have one screw doing most of the work to hold things together and one blue plastic clip.

Not uncommon to use zip ties on some additional tabs to secure it a bit more. How someone from the aftermarket hasn’t come up with a better bracket is beyond me. Or maybe they have, I just haven’t seen it yet.

Wasn’t part of my original plan, but a few days after installing the new DD fog lights I ordered an aftermarket front bumper. Won’t have to worry about these things shaking around anymore in the future.
