Driving along at 45mph. I press the View button. On the infotainment screen I can then view the cargo in my bed among other views. This times out after a few seconds and goes back to CarPlay or whatever else I was on.

So can I change the amount of time the camera views stay up? Or keep them up? I’d like the timeout to be longer at least.

Not sure about your question but the PVM and view button are literally my favorite Tundra features. My 2016 Corvette has a pair of front cameras but no view button. The only way to activate those cams is to put the car in reverse and then back in 1st (I have manual trans). Sometimes I get lazy and skip that step, like the time I scraped the underside or my front bumper on a parking lot concrete bumper block. if it only has a view button. Dammit.

So when I’m driving along doing say 55 mph when I click the button in the picture, I can see on my screen my cargo in the bed of the truck. It shows up for a few seconds then goes away. Is there a way to get the view to stay on my screen longer?

Nope. There are tons of regulations around cameras in vehicles and how long the view can be available to the driver while the car is going above 12mph. There are some workarounds (anytime front cam on the Tacoma) but i don't know if they've been made for the Tundras yet
