My microphone is by my right knee kind of to the left of the A/C controls. I was just wondering if there was a setting in the HU that can control the volume for people on the other end of a phone call. I thought about the "guidance" volume but turns out that is for the voice that guides you LOLOL

I am suspicious that your placement of the mic is going to cause poor reception.

I don't think there is a setting on the HU to compensate for that.

I know it sounds like a pain, but if you can get that mic to the factory location in the overhead console, you and your audience will be much happier.

I pulled my driver side A pillar and console, fished the mic under the dash to that point, grabbed the mic and ran it up the pillar and then under the headliner to the middle of the dash. Pull the old mic aside, and hot glue the new one in its place. Totally reversible if needed.

Mine is up almost behind the rearview mirror.
I never notice it being there.

@KTMRider it's easier to run it by removing the pillar cover and then tuck the cord into the edge of the headliner.
But you could probably remove the left dash speaker cover and feed thru the dash and tuck it behind the pillar and headliner edge.
Easier to run the jack end, but if you pulled the dash speaker you could probably run the mic thru the dash and not have to pull the HU.

A 36" HVAC duct ziptie is very useful for fishing wires thru the dash..

BTW, in my opinion, @panicman has the perfect sized HU screen for the Tundra.
Anything bigger looks like a billboard on the dash..

I'll give it a go this weekend. Panicman and I have the same HU :)
