    most likely since it toyota proprietary info and have trademark logo and stuff, lawyers probably went after the forum. i guess the only way around it was to remove any logo's and what not to point back to toyota.

    that would have been more hassle than anything. would mean the person posting would have to cherry pick the info from tsb, etc to post it to make it look very generic.

    had nothing to do with the thread title. it was actual tsb printouts that was posted to the forums.

    also doesnt help the basic account is still expensive for regular users. $505 for a year sub.

    Exactly. It’s really not information intended for the general public. It’s diagnostic information for service professionals.

    Even TSBs are just a part of the diagnostic process. Just because a vehicle exhibits symptoms similar to those described in the TSB doesn’t mean that the TSB automatically applies. And a TSB is not something you can just run to the dealer and expect them to perform the described repair because it might apply to your vehicle.
