Doing some digging, the aftermarket fuel skids are overkill for me and double the price. I found the 32g OR skid and the bracket, I would just need 8, M8 bolts. Anyone know if I’m missing anything else?

After further investigation, the Non Or fuel tank doesn’t seem to have the right straps with the studs. Is this a correct assessment?

You’re correct. The straps are different for those with the OR skid plate from the factory and those who don’t have it from the factory have different straps.
