Here’s a f**ked up story for y’all;
Just had a visit from the guy who married my stepsister. 72 years old. Drove up by himself from Tucson. He’s always been a mental, but now I know why. 3rd day here I had to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital. I picked up his daughter, who flew up from Tucson drive him home. I knew that he was a Vietnam veteran but she has been working with him since my stepsister died about a year ago to get him his va benefits which he never had. Way back when he tried, they said files were gone, tough. Well, she got a lawyer and found the files. She told me about the contents on the way home from the airport.
Drafted at 17. Sexually assaulted by his commander in boot. Nam. Reported mia and found after 3 days, carrying a dead soldier. Psych ward for a year. Testing done with opioids. Testing done with LSD. Beaten by soldiers periodically until his discharge. No wonder he’s messed up

 

Wow, that's pretty harsh. Hope he gets the treatment he deserves (and earned).

 

It's always been pretty amazed (more like sad, disgusted, please let me run the wood chipper) at the thought of this kind of shit. I can't for the life of me figure out why we spend so much time and energy eating our own. How can anyone expect a person to ever function like a person again when the people he was entrusted to pulled that shit; let alone spending any time fighting in the those trenches...

This guy on the radio did a countdown of the "6 best" bands from Chicago and I don't like Chicago, Cheap Trick, Styx, Survivor or Earth Wind and Fire.

I'm not super into blues but those first 3 are decent. Probably outside that radio station's format, though.

FML. I'm going to have to go to Arizona eventually. Both my sisters that lived in Texas have moved. One to Utah, and one to Arizona.

They do at times. One sister has 9 kids. The other still has a kid at home and a husband with muscular dystrophy. Easier for the bachelor to travel to see them.
