I wish. The roots from that oak tree have done a ton of damage to it. Wish I had 30k laying around to fix it.

....and THIS is the same reason Axel Rose needs to unplug his microphone and go back to wherever he's been hiding for 'not long enough'. Guy sounds like a 100 year old woman that just fell and broke her hip. Its frikkin embarrassing. Don't get me wrong, I was a big G'n'R fan, when they sounded good. I just recently saw a clip of him performing very recently, and wish I never saw it.

    CASTLE DOCTRINE!

Dude, you think too much. And I'm saying that as someone who thinks way too much, we can smell our own kind from across countries.

LP and nattygas are FINE. Don't let anyone give you hell. It's about convenience, and for dads like us chasing around crotch goblins everywhere, you don't have time to pre-light stuff up, wait for it to get just right, watch things cook, throw logs in and other crap. Ooni Koda. It was one of those.

If you need wood flavor, there's nothing stopping you from keeping an old jumbo picklejar of wood chunks in water next to the grill to chuck in and get some extra flavor. But if you have cast iron grates, once you season them, you don't need the wood flavor.

I've posted pictures of steaks I've grilled on here. I guarantee you, I could blind taste test my steak against any woodfired or charcoal fired steak, and people would go for mine, and wouldn't be able to tell I used propane. It's a farce.

Using gasses to cook with is smart and efficient. The temperature is regulated so there's no guesswork. Cook times are almost always on-point if you heat to a specific temp for a few minutes. I usually run my Weber Spirit (E310) up to ~525F, sit for 5, then toss things on to get killer sear lines, flip to an unused section.

Weber makes both an LP and nattygas version of the E310 I believe. Excellent grill. But buy a cover for it.

Quick edit: I was at Ace Hardware not long ago and they were showing off some LP compact pizza ovens, almost like a salamander (for those who've worked in restaurants and know what that is). Damn was that good. Lemme look up the name.

Yeah, Costco has a SS gas pizza oven but I like the wood fired because I can go one size bigger than my bro in law and heckle him. He is a superior cook in all respects, I can barely cook noodles.

but apparently the wife says she already told me I can’t buy a grille yet. So I sit and wait. And if I mention pizza oven I’m sure to get shanked.

Word. Gospel, actually. I know I don't actually rank as 'dude', but this is good advice. And your wedded half won't argue.

I prefer to call mine "my better 3/4". I haven't heard 'wedded half' before, but I like it. I don't like 'better half' enough to use it.

    IG vs reality!
I wasn’t disappointed at our BNB in Diego, but I assumed I was on ground level, late at night I definitely wasn’t ready for those sandy stairs! I also felt bad for the tenants below because of my rowdy boys hahahah

Yeah, if I didn't know and love you, and your boys, I'd hate to be neighbors. Like all the pandemic dogs, constantly barking? In my neighborhood. Relationships are most important.

Hahah, my cool neighbor is like you, and he totally encourages their shenanigans. Eman will climb the wall barefoot to see if the neighbors are outside to say hi to them. The wife used to be a pediatric nurse, so she loves him talking about Dino’s and whatever else!

Probably. But I set off in search of my friends (after sucking up free drinks until they turned off the tap), and so far, I haven't found them or the (purported) bowling alley. So I'm wandering around, focusing my attention on a cell phone screen. Yeah, you're not wrong.

Tonight omw into hell I averaged 19mpg. A new record for the 03! Probably helped I only hit one of the three lights. But an ass clown ran the red light and I almost t-boned em. And it wasn't like his light just turned red because my light just turned yellow and I was driving the speed limit, 40mph
