    Any ideas? I think I’m just gonna cut some steel fill in that gap and just weld it to the bracket so it’s touching the axle.

    I had some scap Starboard lying around.

    Cut some strips, heated up with a heat gun and slid into place.

    Strips have been there for 5000mi and haven't moved. No deflection on the perches.

    Delrin or cutting board material may work.
