I tried searching but can't find a definitive clear answer

I'm going to save my truck.

Question is will a 03-04 Sequoia 4x4 tranny bolt on to a 2001 Tundra 4x4??

    My truck is a 4.7 2uzfe with 4x4.

    I found a deal...

I just want a plug and play upgrade.

I have everything still in my truck just thought it would be easier to swap a newer one than deal with the rebuild with the weaker gears that came with the 01 trannys.

    Simple answer will do.

    Thanks guys

I dont know about the plugs or connectors, but the valvebody is the same from '00-'04 (for v8 a340's). Digging around it seems like there might have been speed sensor changes between '00-02 & '03-04

You may have better luck stopping by a rebuild shop with a couple pizzas and asking them. They’ll know for sure.

Everything I’m seeing shows the trans in the 2001 year model is direct compatible with 2001 and 2002 years only.
2000-2004 uses the same transmission and could likely be adapted, but may not be plug and play.
