Hi Everyone! I recently changed all my brake pads/rotors (OEM) 2 weeks ago and did the break bedding. I've driven ~500 miles and it still squeaks in/out when I back out of my drive way and when I'm turning ever so slightly right. It'll usually squeak in the beginning and will fade away if it's a long drive. I believe I changed/greased everything correctly (first timer) so I'm unsure of what is still causing this squealing noise (hoping it'll disappear). Open to any suggestions for a solution.

If the squeak is happening when you’re turning, maybe check and see if your steering rack or power steering pump is leaking. For what it’s worth, my Tundra is my third Toyota and they’ve all squeaked or clunked in some way, shape, or form. Might just be a yota thing :notsure:

Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a look tomorrow. Hopefully this isn't the problem because there wasn't any noise until after the pad/rotor change.

I changed the brakes out last year on one of our cars and it was squeaking pretty loud. Turned out a bit of caliper grease got on the rotor surface. Pulled the rotor off and sprayed it down good with brake clean and cleaned the pad well.

Also, I’d make sure you bed the brakes properly if you haven’t already.

Did you remember the shims on the pads?

I will take a peek tomorrow and make sure there's no grease on the rotors.

Yes, there are shims on the pads. Almost forgot it but didn't.

I did but maybe I will have to try another time.
