You do, but sometimes you pay for a lot more than what you need. Some of my ex employees who worked at tint/audio shops said they would charge walk in customers $100-200 depending in what they wanted, but will bill the Mercedes and BMW dealerships $600 for the same service.

Some of the tint shops around here will only do fronts with the windshield removed. Thought I would ask a seasoned Pro on the topic.

I did 20% ceramic on front windows and pano moon roof. 50% ceramic on windshield.

definitely helped cut the heat feel of sun on my neck through the moonroof.

Finally some pricing in line with everything I've found. I was beginning to wonder what was going on with the quotes I got. I'm not knocking anyone's work or product, but I have to question the quality of a product if everything can be done under $200. To each their own though, whatever makes the owner happy is all that matters.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
About to blow $900 on full ceramic tint (3M) on the Pro. It's the curse of living in the lawless city.

Dang, that seems a couple hundred bucks high! That was two years ago for me, but I want to say it was 650 to 700 for all caramic.

I called 2 other places that are $1100-1300 for full ceramic. At this point it's all about finding the shop with the reputation as most of these places are cutting by hand.

I sold the Tundra and purchased a different truck and had to do the whole tint thing again, lol. I only did ceramic on the windshield this time and carbon the rest of the way, and it was actually on the recommendation of the installer. I've had it a few months and honestly can't tell a difference.
